Adversity, and the stark reality that life really can be short, led me to a place where I questioned everything.
Along with a growing restlessness and discontentment with 9-5 I sold my house, quit my job, and pursued a long held yearning to explore photography and creativity.
On the Northern Rivers coastline I re-discovered the inner quietness, and solitude of those early hours before sunrise on the beach. I loved it, and decided to make Pottsville my home.
As the sun rose I challenged myself to capture the beauty unfolding before me through a camera. It was in this quietness I began to notice things I’d previously never seen before and connected to nature through a lens.
Friends and family loved the pics I was putting on social media and encouraged me to go further.
So I fumbled and stumbled my way through backing myself to take my photography to the next level. Sometimes one step forward, 2 steps back.
So what you see now is damianKdesigns in the making… A friend told me about the Brunswick Heads Simple Pleasure photo comp so I entered a pic.
And bugger me I won the adult category!
Some aren’t all polished and fancy as they should be, but some have even amazed me as I look and think wow, I took that!
Thanks heaps for checking me out, what you see now will be a work in progress for now, and forever.
